Happy 1st Birthday Olivia!
Olivia's Cake Smash 12th August
If you're wondering how to celebrate your little one's birthday, whether it be the first, second or 30th.. here is an insight into what you can expect from a cake smash session!
27th March I receive a lovely message from Ashley to book a cake smash for her daughter's birthday...
We exchange messages and confirm location, date, time and colour scheme... Deposit is paid and booking form completed... (you can book your session for your house, my studio or outdoors!)
One week before we check up that everything is ok for the booking and I answer any queries..
The Cake Smash... I arrive at Ashley's house to setup, Olivia is watching curiously as I blow up balloons, create the backdrop and turn the lights on, we decide to do some photos in her pretty dress first to get used to having her photo taken, so far so good! =)
The Cake comes out.. and we have a model smasher here, it hasn't even been 5 seconds before the hands are in and the icing is making it's way into Olivia's mouth! Brilliant! We're having great fun smashing the cake, icing is everywhere and the wooden spoon is a great way of breaking the cake apart and for us to show Olivia how to smash!! After about 20 minutes and LOTS of icing we decide it's time to move onto the bath...
The Bath... Olivia watches as we make lots of bubbles, throw in some ducks for good measure and move the cake away. With lots of splashing, encouragement and duck noises we have a great bath session and Olivia look's like she's enjoying every minute!!
The session has taken about 45 minutes, and as Olivia gets clean and dressed I pack away.
Within 7 days, I upload the edited photos from Olivia's smash onto my website in a password protected gallery. This is live for 3 days giving Ashley plenty of time to choose which images to buy.

A brilliant celebration of Olivia's first birthday, some great memories of the session and a lovely selection of photos to share with family and friends, turn into thankyou cards and to remind you of the fun we had!
